The Department of Energy-funded summer camp with 9 Akins Early College High School students has been completed with 7 amazing oral presentations on the fate and remediation of PFAS, the climate-induced flood prediction in central Texas, and thin film heaters for sensor development. Dedicated support from 10 student mentors is much appreciated. Of course, this success would not have been possible without the collaboration of Drs. Namwon Kim and Eunsang Cho at Texas State University and 6 faculty members at Akins High School in Austin Independent School District.
